Jan 23, 2015 | Real Estate

“What should we do for dinner?” Don’t feel like cooking, and looking to try something new? Whether you are new to the Shelby Township area or you’re just looking for a new place to dine at for dinner, this list should help you find what you’re looking for. Shelby Township is filled with so many amazing restaurants that you may not have ever had the chance to try out or have never even heard of. As a local business in the area, we love to support other local businesses and we have compiled a list of a few of our personal favorite Shelby Township restaurants. We hope that you give them a try!

De Franceso’s Italian Cuisine & Taverna: 23 Mile & M59

Nestled in the heart of Shelby Twp, De Francesco’s has been a local staple for over 15 years. They serve quality and reasonably priced Italian cuisine with a homemade touch in a charming rustic environment.  Stop in for live entertainment and don’t forget to check out their extensive wine menu!

Nick’s 22nd Street Steakhouse: 22 Mile & Van Dyke

A small independent steakhouse in a great location, Nick’s 22nd Street provides delicious food in a welcoming atmosphere.  Favorites on the menu are the Prime Rib and the Walnut-Crusted Salmon. The perfect place to bring a date, you won’t be disappointed.

Mexican Village: 21 Mile & Van Dyke

Whether you’re there grabbing lunch or attending a party, Mexican Village provides an array of delectable Mexican dishes. Their salsa alone is reason enough to try them out. The sister location of the original Mexican Village in Mexicantown, Detroit, they provide an enjoyable dining experience with top notch service and impeccable food.

Volcano Sushi: Hall Rd & Schoenherr

For outstanding food at a good price, look no further than Volcano Sushi.  A quaint restaurant that is easy to miss, these masters of sushi consistently deliver quality food with the freshest ingredients.  Regulars here rave about the miso soup and the Christmas roll.

Nonna’s Italian Kitchen: 23 Mile & Schoenherr

A family run business, Nonna’s takes pride in their authentic Italian dishes. Who knew you could go out and enjoy a delicious home cooked meal away from home.  The Arancini is amazing along with everything else on the menu.  While we also recommend getting dessert, don’t be surprised if you have no room left after dinner.

Northside New York Deli: 23 Mile & Schoenherr

The Northside New York Deli is the place to go for mind blowing deli style sandwiches. The food is fresh, the staff offers great service, and the cooks are entertaining to watch while you wait. Even the bowl of pickles served before your meal is amazing! It is impossible to pick a favorite because all of their menu items are top notch.

The Clean Plate: North of Hall Rd on Hayes

Whether you are a devout vegetarian or even a life long meat lover, The Clean Plate is a refreshing alternative to all of the chain restaurants in the area. Using the freshest organic ingredients from local farmers, The Clean Plate delivers great tasting vegetarian and vegan dishes. The ABLT is a fan favorite and features shiitake mushrooms in place of bacon. If you need help deciding what to order, the entire staff is passionate and knowledgeable and is always happy to offer suggestions.

We hope that these become some of your favorite local restaurants too… if they aren’t already!
